CopyTT Browser Extension
Save eligible videos and photos from the TikTok page you are already viewing, with a download button connected to the selected media.
How the extension works
CopyTT adds a download control to supported media on www.tiktok.com and m.tiktok.com. It rechecks the selected post and file only after a deliberate click.
- Open a supported video or Photo Mode post.
- Choose the CopyTT button attached to the media.
- Follow the browser download status until completion or a clear error.
Supported media and clear limits
The current build supports eligible videos already loaded by the page and original Photo Mode images that can be tied to the current post. Live streams, DRM, ambiguous files, unavailable media, and content the current session cannot load are rejected.
Why permissions are requested
Permissions are limited to the current TikTok download workflow.
- TikTok site access places download controls on supported pages.
- activeTab connects your click with the current tab.
- downloads starts and observes the selected file.
- storage remembers preferences and short-lived download state.
- Optional feedback host access is requested only when you choose to report a failed download.
Local processing by default
Normal extension downloads are prepared in the current TikTok tab and handled by the browser. CopyTT does not receive the media file, complete page or media URL, creator name, post description, or download history during this path.
